José Carlos Paredes - Associated Manager

José Carlos Paredes is a 25 year-old experienced journalist as field reporter, writer, news service chief of staff and TV news show director. Paredes has worked in Peru´s main TV channels such as Panamericana and Latina TV. José Carlos teaches in two of the most prestigious Latin American universities: Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico City) and Universidad de Lima. He was awarded with the FNPI (Foundation for a New Iberoamerican Journalism) Excellence Award and the Seix-Barral-Planeta Chronicle Award.

His writings and chronicles have been published in magazines such as Etiqueta Negra (Peru), Gatopardo (Mexico), Soho (Colombia), The Clinic and Eme Equis and in newspapers like Reforma and El Universal (Mexico). He wrote the book "The Hero´s Fall", an investigation report that revealed the illicit enrichment and the links with drug cartels of Antonio Ketin Vidal, a Peruvian former Homeland Secretary. 

Jose Carlos worked as an investigative reporter of the most important investigative shows of Peru´s TV circuit. He also was Chief of staff of Latina TV News Service. In 2009 Paredes was jury of the Journalistic Excellence Award of the FNPI and of the Jalisco State Journalistic Award (Mexico)  in 2010.
